On Thursday afternoon the rain stopped and the sun shone so P2 O'Prey seized the moment and went outside to learn. The children had completed an experiment where they investigated what materials were attracted to a magnet. They discovered that metal is attracted to magnets but other materials like: wood, plastic, paper, glass and cloth are not. The children were surprised to find not all types of metal are attracted to magnets. They went outside to the P1 playground to find metal that was magnetic. They found pipes, toy-boxes, window frames and the fence were all magnetic. You might like to look around your house and find some magnetic objects.
