In Year5McAllister we were learning about tessellation. We learnt that tessellation is an arrangement of shapes closely fitted together in a repeated pattern without any gaps or overlapping. We found out that triangles, squares and hexagons were able to tessellate by themselves. While other shapes like pentagons need to have another shape, like a triangle, in between to fill to gaps.
