A fabulous day was had by Mrs McMahon and Mrs Shankelton's class learning about Victorian home life as part of our WAU Houses and Homes topic. The class learnt to weave,use dip pens in ink wells,dress up in Victorian clothing,make pots from clay,discover Victorian artefacts and create Christmas cards which date back to when Victorians created the first postage stamp. The highlight was all the old wooden games and toys including a Whirly gig, Snakes and ladders Dominoes,Jacobs ladders, moviescope, Zoetrope and Magnetic fish. A very fun day of learning.
