We had a visit from Ciaran from the Welcome Centre to the Primary 3 children today. He told us all the ways the can help homeless people. They have a drop-in centre where homeless people can get 3 meals a day and have a shower. They have 5 nurses and a huge Mobile Bus Unit that brings doctors and nurses out to the homeless people to help. We also heard about homeless people ‘sofa surfing’ which no one had heard about in our class. We have started to bring in things that the Welcome Centre are going to give to the homeless people in Belfast. We are a very caring group of children!
