Year 7 Maguire Have Internet safety Workshop
On Monday, February 24th, Conor and Emma from Beam visited our class to talk to us about Internet Safety. They explained that online no one is who they seem online and that if you agree to the 'terms and conditions' you are allowing the app to not get the blame if anything happens to you or your account. This is very serious and usually most people agree without reading the terms and conditions!
Conor and Emma showed us how to easy it is to make a fake account and lie about your age. They talked to us about popular social medias like Facebook, Instagram, Snap Chat , YouTube and TikTok. Conor said that on Snapchat the add on Snapmaps shows your location to anyone at anytime and that with the filters you can change our gender age and appearance.
WE learnt a lot and will be more careful when on line.
