Year 6 Mc. Auley's Chairs Go On Strike! ( Persuasive Writing)
Primary Six have recently been looking at persuasive texts in their Literacy work. Today, Mr Mc. Auley’s class got quite a shock when they realised that their chairs were on strike! They had gathered in a huddle at the back of the classroom and refused to let the children sit on them.
The chairs had written letters to the children explaining that they had had enough of being dragged about, being left lying untidily around the room- not tucked in as they should be - and they also mentioned some of the heinous smelling crimes that the children commit on the chairs.
The children had to write a persuasive letter convincing their chairs to come back to them. The children worked hard writing their letters and Mr Mc. Auley said that the chairs were thoroughly convinced and let the children use them again.
