Year 6 Graham Healthy Eating Podcasts

In P6 Graham we have been learning to podcast. On Thursday Neil and Catriona from Solas came in to our class and gave us a quiz about healthy eating. Next, they asked us lots of different questions until we got to know them. Then we had to plan our podcast to describe which story we were going to write about on healthy eating. We had lots of different ideas. My group chose Lord of the Rings, Eva’s group chose Pacman, Kate’s group chose the Minions, Peter’s group chose the Vikings and Sara’s group chose vampires.

Then we had to write a playscript about the story that we chose and we also made props for the story. The next day we had about 30 minutes to practice our playscript. We learnt it off by heart Catriona took one group at a time and videoed it. After we videoed it we went to the ICT suite to learn about Movie Maker and to watch it.

We learned while using movie maker if you save you always have to click “save as.” We also learned how to edit and include special effects. We were able to use transitions to make our scenes more interesting. Each of us got to help Neil with one thing and Olivia went last so she typed the credits.
