Year 5 Mackle celebrated National Poetry day in style by putting on an Oscar-worthy performance of Kit Wright’s poem ‘The Magic Box’! Having discussed this year’s National Poetry day theme of ‘Messages’ and how messages are sent and received, we focused in on what might be sent in a box before performing the poem and using it as a stimulus to write their own ‘Magic Box’ inspired poems. (Watch this space!)
