P4 Wilson have been learning all about festivals from around the world as part of our World Around Us topic ‘Let’s Celebrate.’ This week we learned about the Hindu festival of Holi, that celebrates spring, love, and new life. It is a colourful festival, with dancing, singing and throwing of powder paint and coloured water. Holi is also known as the "festival of colours". We drew a self-portrait first. Then we coloured in with oil pastels, using lots of bright colours to represent the powder paint that would be thrown.
