Year 4 Gray Visit The War Memorial Museum
On Friday 3rd March, P4Gray went on a trip to the War Memorial Museum on Talbot Street, Belfast to learn more about WW2. Jenny, our host, talked to us about the Belfast Blitz and showed us some shocking photographs of the damage to our city as well as telling us some personal memories of people she has met over the years. We also had the opportunity to dress up in actual WW2 uniforms and explore the museum, looking at all the artefacts. On our way back to the bus, we stood outside St. Anne’s Cathedral and saw the plague to Dean Crooks, the first Black Santa of Belfast, who we had learnt about in school before Christmas. It was an amazing trip and hopefully we will go back again soon!
