The Ulster School’s Swimming Association held a swimming gala on Saturday 11th October at Ballymena Leisure Centre.
St Bride’s children swam brilliantly and were a credit to the school. The girls relay won the Ulster silver medal in the 200m medley relay (Freya, Charlotte , Caoilainn and Grace ).
The same girl’s relay team also won the Ulster silver medal in the 200m front crawl relay.
The boy’s relay won Ulster bronze medal in the 200m medley relay (Hugh, Niall, Garrett and Darragh).
Individually, Caoilainn made the final of the P6 Ulster backstroke final. Charlotte won Ulster silver medal in the P6 50m breaststroke final. Ava won Ulster Gold in the P5 50m front crawl. She also won Ulster silver in the 50m p5 breaststroke. Everyone gave their best.
Many swimmers just missed out on finals. All in all they swam brilliantly , conducted themselves magnificently and had fun. This is a great achievement for St. Bride’s - St Bride’s as a swimming entity are now firmly on the map!
