Tightly fought games to make semi final
The P7/6 Girls’ Gaelic team made it through to the semi-final of the league after two closely contested games against St. Ita’s and Christ the Redeemer in Musgrave Park. The girls fought hard to claw a one-point victory over St. Ita’s in the first match. A one score match, it was Katie McKavanagh’s point that made St. Bride’s victors. In the second game against Christ the Redeemer, there was a point each in the first half. A well worked team ball fell to Katie again to score a goal for St. Bride’s. Some tenacious defending by Lara and Eavan made sure that Christ the Redeemer could not get through to score again and by the end of the match St. Bride’s had won 1-04 to 0-01. An excellent start to the league.
