Today the whole school gathered in the church for a prayer service to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of St. Brigid's Church.
Fr O'Donnell reminded the children that we were all in God's house.
He said that Jesus had said in his life , " If you destroy this Church, we will build it in three days time!"
He told the pupils that Jesus was really talking about himself & that when he was nailed to the church He rose in three days on Easter Sunday.
Fr. O'Donnell told us that sometimes in life we get knocked down and that if that happens we should look at the golden figure of Jesus on the cross and remember that we are the friends of Jesus and that he will look after us. He reminded us that this is God's house and that we are called Children of God.
Fr. O'Donnell then led us in prayers. He thanked God for our homes, our school and our church.
We then sang A Song to Brigid which is one of our favourite songs.
Fr. O'Donnell then presented Mrs Quinn with lovely prayer cards.
