Sustrans Visit
Today Beverley Gaston from “Sustrans” visited St. Bride’s Primary School. She came with a very important message on how to walk safely to and from school. She showed us photographs of the safest place to enter the school grounds. She told us that we should always use the pedestrian gates and never ever walk through the car parks. She also told us that we should always cross at the lights on the Malone Road and to cross with Victor and Janette, our wonderful patrol people, on Windsor Avenue. The funniest part of the assembly was that Rachel, Caolinn and Rory had to dress up in clothes before we could count to 15. Rachel was dressed in a dark T-shirt and black hat which would be difficult to see in the day time or in the dark. Caelan was dressed in a pink tutu with florescent gloves. He could clearly be seen and Rory was dressed in a reflective jacket with a flashing light. The message was very clear-“ Be Bright- Be Seen.” We would like to thank Beverley for visiting our school and for helping to keep all in St. Bride’s School community safe.
