St Bride's Junior Innovators meet the Minister for Education
On Tuesday 23rd June, Nadine, Brianna, Paddy and Joseph from Mr. Duffin's P6 class went to the University of Ulster to take part in the Sentinus Junior Innovators competition. The children had already qualified for the UK finals of 'Jaguar Primary School Challenge' by building the fastest car out of card using the Silhouette Computer Aided Design programme.
The children had to discuss their STEM project 'Jaguar Primary School Challenge' with five sets of judges. The Minister for Education, John O'Dowd then visited the St Bride's display and said he was very impressed with the children's knowledge of the project and their ability to speak confidently about it.
The children's efforts were rewarded with a Runners-up trophy in the Junior Innovators section.
Well done!
