School Council Visits Stormont
The School Council were invited by the Assembly Education Service to visit Stormont and tour around the building. We got to the chamber and had our own debate about School Uniform. At the end we voted and followed ‘The Whip’ out of the chamber and took our places on the side we were favouring.
Claire Hanna an ex pupil of St Bride’s and Mr McCloskey called in and told us about what she does and how the assembly is meant to work.
We also sat in the meeting rooms and observed the RHI Tribunal during its sitting.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get down to the canteen were the MLA’s get their subsidised food!
Thank you to James from the Education Department for walking us around and answering all our questions.
