We have been using so many things in Primary One to help us add and we are really good at using our pointing finger and counting the cubes/fish/spots etc. and writing how many we have altogether.
Today we all went outside and we were able to make sums and find the answer using a really huge number line in the school playground.
First we made the sum using our friends wearing number tunics. Then one person was able to stand on the first number in our sum and add the second number in our sum by jumping along the number line.
We did this lots of times and we were able to put the answer at the end of all our sums.
