P6 Montague Viking Session at the Ulster Museum
Today we went to the unbelievable Ulster Museum for a fascinating talk about Vikings.
We learned how Vikings dressed, what the trademark Viking weapons were, including spears and axes and how you used them.
We also learned that you could know Viking women were rich by the amount or type of beads on their jewellery.
We found out that Thursday is named after Thor (the god of thunder).
We gained the knowledge that Danish Vikings were farmers and lots of Vikings lived in Longhouses.
Our class is very thankful to all the workers at the Ulster Museum and St Bride’s and all the people for a lovely trip.
