P.6. McMahon Viking Longhouses Posters
Mrs McMahon’s class have been learning about Viking Longhouses by reading factual books and creating informative, bright posters. They worked as part of a team to design a poster, delegated jobs within their groups including researchers, script writers and artists, and choose a spoke person to share their information with the class.
Did you know Viking Longhouses sheltered animals during the winter months? Or that stone lamps used fish liver oil to produce a strong light in the longhouse? They even stuffed straw, wool and moss in between two walls as a form of insulation!
