Have you ever thought, ‘I can’t draw’, ‘I’m not good at painting’ or ‘I can’t even draw a straight line with a ruler!’, well then you obviously haven’t read, ‘The Dot’ by Peter H Reynolds. In this book, the main character, Vashti, thinks she isn't good at Art but she learns to realise that a fantastic piece of Art can start with a dot and become something wonderful. In Mrs Mc Mahon’s P.6. class, pupils discovered that simple marks can become a beautiful, colourful rainbow. Their art work is now displayed in our Ashleigh school foyer for all to see.
