P2 O'Prey deal with feelings
P2 O'Prey have been learning about feelings. Last week we discussed happiness, this week we explored anger. The children listened to a story about Angry Arthur. When Arthur got angry he made silly choices, kicking, thumping and yelling. The children drew pictures of themselves showing how your body changes when you are angry. They knew that when you are angry you: frown, tense your shoulders, furrow your brow and make a fist. We discussed things you can do to help yourself calm down. Fiadh knows you can take deep breaths and pretend to blow out candles on a cake. Catherine suggested running water over your hands. Rory B knows you can scribble on paper if you are frustrated. Natthawut knows if things go wrong you can walk away. Why not try these strategies next time things go wrong!
