The boys and girls in P2 are already enjoying learning all about Arctic and polar regions. We are especially fascinated by the Northern Lights. Today we looked at a photograph of the Aurora Borealis and decided to create our own winter scene during Art time. Alannah told us that from some places like Iceland we can see the Northern Lights in the sky. They have lovely bright blue, green and pink colours. We used black card, oil pastels and chalk to do so. We used our fingers to smudge the chalk and pastels. We are so happy with our Northern Lights pictures and would love to see them in real life some day. For now we will settle for learning all about them in school.
