During Numeracy we have been exploring addition. We have done lots of practical addition, using Compare Bears, shapes, and even children!! We have been having a go at recording addition on whiteboards using the word ‘and’ and the symbol ‘+’. This week we are learning about the symbols ‘+’ which means ‘add’, ‘and’, ‘plus’ and ‘=’ which means ‘altogether makes’, ‘equals’ and ‘is the same as’.
We have been using cubes to investigate all the different ways we can make 6 and record these on our own whiteboards!
