P1 Saint Brigid's Prayer Service
Today, we had a lovely Prayer Service, where we thanked God for Saint Brigid. Our Prayer Service was in the hall, and the mums and dads came to be our lovely audience. Fr. O’Donnell came to the prayer service and he talked to us about Saint Brigid. We sang so beautifully. We loved our ‘Song to Saint Brigid’, ‘Hurray I am so happy’ and ‘Wake up, Rise and Shine’. We listened to our mums and dads read a poem called ‘Waiting’ and then we stood up in our class circle. We said our prayer to Saint Brigid and asked her to help us remember to be kind and loving in our work and play. To finish our Prayer Service we sang ‘Alleluia’ and got to show off our Irish Dancing!!! The mums and dads loved it! We took photos of our rehearsal yesterday.
We hope Saint Brigid brings the spring soon, we can’t wait for the animals to wake up and the buds on the trees and plants to appear. We’re keeping an eye out of signs of spring.
