On Thursday 7th February, all the P1 children and their teachers went to the hall for our Prayer Service for Saint Brigid. Mrs Quinn and Father O'Donnell were there and the mums and dads were our audience.
First, some of the parents lit a candle for Saint Brigid at the beginning of the prayer service. Father O'Donnell spoke about Saint Brigid and told us how she was kind to all she met. Then we sang lots of beautiful songs. 'Wake up, rise and shine' and 'We sing a song to Brigid' were our favourites but we sang them all wonderfully. We used our lovely singing voices and did our actions so well. Some children even had to hold up the Saint Brigid's cloak that we had made! Finally, at the end of our prayer service, we held hands in a circle and said our Prayer to Saint Brigid. We listened to the song Alleluia and showed off our super Irish Dancing!! Our audience loved it!!
