P1 Merron - Nanny visit from Mount Stewart
On Friday Nanny Thomson from Mount Stewart came to visit our classroom. She used to look after the children of the house a long time ago. She brought pictures of the children and the house and told us all about them. She then showed us some of their toys. We got to see a very old teddy bear, it had lost most of its fur and was not soft like our bears as it was filled with saw dust and hay. We saw a rag doll and a porcelain doll. We looked at lots of different toys. They were mostly made from wood and metal. We noticed that lots of the toys that we play with now are made from plastic. It was great fun meeting Nanny Thomson and hearing all about the children from Mount Stewart and seeing the toys they played with.
