P1 Merron - Bagpipes
On Friday 13th March, Mr Buchanan brought in a very special instrument. Mr Buchanan has been learning to play this instrument since he was 5 years old. All the boys and girls couldn't believe what Mr Buchanan was wearing, some children recognised it luckily. He was wearing a kilt. Mr Buchanan showed us the instrument and told us it was called a bagpipe. We had to go to the hall as he said it was a very loud instrument. He told the boys and girls to cover their ears at first (he said he wouldn't be offended) as it was very loud to begin with. Once your ears got used to it, then it wasn't quite so loud! It was great fun and amazing to hear!
