Opening Mass September 2019
Today we had our Opening Mass.
The sun shone and a lot of parents joined us for the celebrations.
The children sang out and some children played their instruments.
Fr. O'Donnell told us during the homily that the church is going to be 25 years old on the 18th of December. Mrs Quinn and Mr Mc Closkey were at the opening mass 25 years ago!
Fr. O'Donnell also referred to the gospel. In it Jesus was talking about being kind.
Father O'Donnell told us to think of "High Five" ! If you are kind to someone, you did it to me ! He held up his hand and as he pointed to each finger in turn he said the words- "You Did It To Me! " He said this might help us to remember to be kind to all.
We would like to thank Fr. O'Donnell for the lovely mass and Mrs Toal for all her help and guidance with the music.
God bless all in our school community this year and hopefully we will remember Fr. O’Donnell’s message and be a little kinder and in return receive kindness from others!
