Year 7 children got a special treat today when John Carmichael (The Birdman) came to the Parish Hall to showcase some of his birds of prey. The visit was conducted in two parts; a "hands on" educational talk and a practical flying demonstration. The educational talk gave our pupils an opportunity for a close encounter with the range of birds that John brought along on the day. He gave an introduction on the topic of Birds of Prey and touched on the issues of endangered birds and the environment. The children had lots of opportunities to ask questions. All agreed that it was a positive learning experiences with a bit of fun.
