Yesterday Year 5 & 6 members of the school Council distributed new books to each of the Year 5-7 classes.
This was part of the School Council's 2014-15 initiative to improve class libraries which involved recycling/ reusing of old books from home and the purchasing of new books.
The books were purchased using funds raised from the School Book Fair.
The council members selected titles which they thought their peers would enjoy from Scholastic Catalogues.
Frank Fitzpatrick in Year 5 even prepared a spread sheet for Mr Mc Closkey detailing the books he would like and the cost.
It was a worthwhile initiative.
Well done to Mr Mc Closkey and the members of the School Council.
This is only one example of the great use we make of funds raised from the School Book Fair.
