Nanny Thomson visits P1 Wynne
Today we had a special visitor in our classroom!
Nanny Thomson from Mount Stewart came to tell us all about the little girl she looked after.
The little girl’s name was Mary. We learned that Mary loved animals, she even had a monkey and flamingos at her house. Nanny Thomson showed us some of Mary’s favourite toys. They were very old and quite different to the toys we play with today. We helped Nanny Thomson do a magic trick too!!Nanny Thomson told us about Mary’s Mum and Dad, Lord and Lady Londonderry who owned the house. Their family still own it today.
Then Nanny Thomson let us play with some of the old toys!! We really enjoyed it. Most of the old toys were made from wood, and they last for a long time!
Thank you Nanny Thomson!!
