Today Nanny Thompson visited our classroom. She came from a big house called Mount Stewart, where she looked after a little girl called Mary. We saw all the old toys that Mary used to play with and heard lots of stories. We learned about what old toys were made from and how they worked. They didn't have batteries then so toys were made by different ways. Have a look at the pictures and tell your adult about your favourite old toy. Tell them how it moves and what it is made from.
We got to play with Nanny Thompson's toys afterwards - we really loved them!
