Maths Week in P6 Montague
For Maths week, our class visited P2 Miss Meehan and P2 Miss Campbell. We helped them with their maths. We were split into two groups and half went to Miss Meehan’s and half went to Miss Campbell’s. I went to Miss Meehan’s because my sister, Kitty, is in that class. We helped the groups with adding and subtracting activities. After that, they rolled a dice to decide on the number of clothes for a skeleton which made them count the clothes. They learnt quickly and I enjoyed helping the younger children. I could see that some were really good at maths. The teacher asked that the children didn’t use a rubber so they could learn from their mistakes- I thought this was a good idea. Some other P6s found teaching P2 difficult because they were frustrated that the children didn’t know the answer right away. We discussed the challenges back at class.
Finally, I big congratulations to Dan, Riddhima and Aliyah who are our Ninja Challenge 2019 winners! Well done!
