Investigating In P2 O'Prey
On Tuesday P2 O'Prey did another experiment as part of their topic on materials. The children worked in groups of three to investigate which objects float and which objects sink. They all took turns and co-operated really well. Before they tested each object they made a prediction about whether it would float or sink. A prediction is a good guess. They discovered that a candle, ball, cork, lollypop stick, and piece of tin foil floated. But the coin, paperclip, key, rubber and marble sank. The children concluded that things made of metal and glass sink but things made from wood or plastic float. You might like to try this at home Have fun!
