Girls' Gaelic - Win One , Lose One !
Today, the P6 and P7 Girls’ Gaelic team took part in the Girls’ Gaelic competition. We played St. Anne’s and the Bunscoil Phobal Feirste.
In windy conditions, the girls worked hard in the first game against St. Anne’s to come out the winners. Good defensive work in the backline from Erin ensured St. Anne’s were kept scoreless in the first half. In the second half, strong performances from Harisah and Isabella up front helped St. Bride’s come out on top.
The second came was to prove much more difficult. The girls met a strong Bunscoil team who managed two goals in the first half. The St.Bride's girls however weren’t about to give up and came out in the second half ready to get some more scores on the board. A goal from Isabella and clever work from Katie and Lara pushing forward made it difficult for the Bunscoil but it was not to be our day.
Well done to all the girls involved and a special word of thanks to all the parents who came to support the girls. Thanks also to Mrs Mc Mahon, Mr Gurk and Mrs Gorman for their hard work throughout the year.
