First Half of Term One Was Enjoyed by all in Year 1 Shankelton !
Phew! P1 Shankleton have had a very busy first half of Term One. Here are some pictures of our class at play activities that they have really enjoyed. The Farmers market was a real hit, thank you to everyone who brought us in all sorts of vegetables and paper bags to help make our play such fun. The Autumn spot has been very popular, with the children exploring leaves, conkers and pine cones. We also had a lovely Autumn walk around the grounds.
We have really enjoyed PE, and are even practicing some Yoga.
So far we have learnt all about the s, a, t and p sounds and got our first reading books home. We learned about the customs and traditions of Hallowe’en and all about how to stay safe at this time.
There are some photos of the children during Maths Week. Some of our activities involved sorting, copying and making patterns, making graphs of ourselves (4/ not 4 and different eye colour). We also had a visit from some P6s who helped us with our tasks.
