Day 6
“Snow is falling” sprung to mind when we awoke this morning to see a beautiful, winter wonderland. What a great surprise for our last day in Folgaria! As we arrived at the slopes this morning, an impromptu snowball fight erupted. Poor Mr McAuley came out the worse, much to the children’s enjoyment! After much fun in the snow, we headed to the slope to practice for the upcoming slalom. The children were full of excitement although, we’re not sure we could say the same about some of the parents or even teachers for that matter. As the slaloms began it was evident to see the amazing skills and skiing flair, our children have developed over the last week. Each and every child embraced the ethos of the day and showed enthusiasm and support for one another. The children were a credit to themselves and their teachers. After a very exciting day, we retired to the hotel, to prepare for the medal presentation. Led by the skiing instructors themselves, we spent a great evening celebrating the success of all the children. What a lovely way to end the week!
