Two classes entered the 2022/23 Atkins Net Zero Superheroes Competition. The calibre of entries was incredibly high and the judges were blown away by the innovative ideas that all of the students put forward to help their schools contribute towards reaching Net Zero!
Congratulations to The A.P.F.E Chip team from Mr Doran’s class for getting through to the final and very well done to the students for presenting their ideas to the judges.
They were Highly Commended in this year’s competition! This is an excellent achievement and they should be very proud to have reached the final out of over 370 submissions from 40 schools across the UK.
The judge’s feedback for The A.P.F.E Chip included:
- 'Genius!' idea
- It was excellent that the idea integrated lots of different technologies, the elements of which were quite feasible
- The judges liked that the team would reinvest their profits – it showed that the team had really thought about the costs.
Ms Hunter presented the boys with their certificates at the assembly. She is one proud principal.
