On Monday the 25th of March the Year 7 pupils of St. Bride's Primary School , Harberton and the Ashleigh Group made their Confirmation.
The flowers on the altar looked amazing. Thank you to the Parish flower arrangers and Michael in the church.
The Year 7 children sang beautifully and they were accompanied by our wonderful Year 6 choir and Mrs Toal. There was a lot of talent on display as some children sang solo and others played musical instruments.
The pupils were confirmed by Bishop Noel Treanor. He was assisted by Fr. O'Donnell, Canon Mc. Closkey and Deacon Brett Lockhart.
Fr. O'Donnell passed on a message from the Pope to the children.
He said that the Pope has asked the children to " LISTEN, DISCERN and DECIDE ." It was a simple but effective message for all gathered.
All in the school community would like to thank everyone who made the evening so special.
We would also like to thank the PTA for providing a much needed cup of tea after the ceremony. We are very grateful for their on-going support.
