This evening Year 7 celebrated the sacrament of Confirmation. It was lovely to see so many families in the church to support our pupils. Father O’Donnell told the children that no matter where in the world they ventured there would always be a seat for them in St. Brigid’s. What a lovely gift. He also encouraged them to use the gifts of the Holy Spirit to do good.
We ,in St. Bride’s , are so proud of the girls and boys and are grateful to our four wonderful teachers and classroom assistants who prepared the children in partnership with their parents.
We would like to thank Mrs Toal for the wonderful music and Fr O’Donnell and Deacon Brett for the simple, child centred ceremony. Thank you also to our PTA who organised party bags for each child.
God bless all confirmed today and all who gathered in support. We are very lucky to be members of St. Bride’s parish community.
