Lorcan, Matthew and Torin played chess in Stormont parliment building! We got a special tour of the building then they played chess in the long room! Ms Naomi Long MLA came to give out the awards, she was so impressed with the skills! The boys even gave her a quick lesson on how to play chess! She said chess is very like politics, in that you have to strategise and think of moves ahead and what the other player would do! She was so impressed with the concentration and practice that goes on! The boys also picked up a lot of awards, Torin got the Exceptional Young Chess Player. Lorcan and Matthew received the Primary Chess Champion 1st and 3rd prize along with the Primary Puzzel Solving Chess Champion!
