P5 McAuley build Ancient Egypt using Minecraft
29th Jan 2024
In groups, the children created ancient Egypt in Minecraft education. They included a pyramid with a tomb, including traps, the river nile and a village. They created a pyramid using their maths skills to ensure their dimensions were correct, looked at geometry when discussing shapes and they worked extremely well together using a lot of problem solving and team building skills. Some children hadn't used Minecraft before and the class ensured every child had an active part to play and learned the basics. This was a child led activity with the children in control of their learning.
