Year 7 Prize Giving
Yesterday the Year 7 classes had their annual prize giving. Prizes were awarded for Sports Day events and for cross country, netball, girls' and boys' Gaelic and for soccer.Mrs Quinn would like to thank Mrs Kennedy and Mrs Cowan for coaching the netball, Mr Fee and Mr Mc Auley for taking the boys' soccer and Mrs Mc Mahon and Mr Cunninham for the Gaelic. We have had a very successful year this year winning cups for Gaelic, soccer and cross country. The winners of the overall Sports Day trophy was Miss Mc Givern's class and the cheers could be heard ringing through out the school. Well done to Miss Mc Givern's class. Mrs Mc Mahon awarded individual prizes to Laura Agnew and Caoimhe O' Donnell for their dedication to girls' Gaelic. Mr Cunningham awarded prizes to Mani Douglas and Jack Toner for soccer. Mr Fee and Mr Macauley awarded individual prizes to Niall Duffy and Niall Mc Sherry. Mrs Kennedy awarded payer of the year to Caoilainn Gribbin and Eimear Magee and most dedicated player to Rachel Mc Areavey. Well done to all. Mrs Quinn and the staff would also like to thank St. Brigid's GAC and in particular Mr Frank Mc Gurk for all his support this year with the Gaelic both boys and girls. The school would also like to thank Mrs Cathy Mc Grath for the invaluable basket ball lessons which the children from Year 4 to 7 thoroughly enjoy.
