On the 3rd of October, Mrs Graham’s class enjoyed a lesson with Izak 9. We completed two tasks as a group as there were two sets of cubes. There was a green, purple and red team for each set.
First we did a Magic square challenge. We had to figure out what number was the magic number and try and arrange the other blocks to all total to the magic number. We added all the numbers together and then divided the answer by the amount of numbers on the row on the bottom the answer was 15. We had to put in the middle number first, which was five. Then we had to fill in the numbers around it. Our group was fourth to finish.
The next task was called 900. We had to come up with three numbers that added up to 900. It was really hard. The last challenge was to put it all together again. This task included working with others to put it back together. We did it about 10 minutes before the other group. It was really good fun.
