Year 5 have been enjoying their Friday art sessions with local artist, Ann Harrigan. Today they perfected their techniques in using clay to make a surprise Christmas themed pot! Very impressive. We have perfected their flower painting skills, looking at different artists such as Van Gogh and Georgia O’Keefe. Check out our flowery classroom! Our ‘Proud Cloud’ Is looking rather crowded at the minute. Year 5 are so busy doing great work, making everyone feel very proud! As we begin the holy season of Advent, Year 5 have made Advent Promises that you should ask them about this week. We turned these into our own handmade Advent wreath and learnt all about the different meanings of each part of the wreath; from each of the candles, to the leaves that are used, to the shape of the wreath and the history of the tradition.
