Year 2 O'Prey Prepare for Easter

P2 are busy preparing for Easter. On Monday all the P2’s went to the foyer to watch Miss McDermott make Easter Egg Nests. We were amazed to see that chocolate can turn from a solid to a liquid when it is heated. Here is the recipe, you might like to make some at home.
How to make Easter Egg Nests.
Ingredients: Shredded wheat, chocolate, small chocolate eggs.
Equipment: Bowl, saucepan of hot water, spoon and paper bun cases.
What you do:
- Place shredded wheat in a bowl.
- Crush wheat into smaller pieces.
- Melt chocolate in a bowl over a saucepan of hot water.
- Add crushed wheat to melted chocolate.
- Stir until all ingredients are mixed in.
- Spoon mixture into bun cases.
- Place small eggs on top of each nest.
- Leave to set in a cool place.
- Check: Make sure the nest is hard.
