Today in P2 O’Prey Miss Collins taught the children about capacity. The children filled different containers with water. They made a good guess of how many ladles would fill the jug. A special word for good guess is estimate. Hemish put 33 ladles of water in the jug. The children worked in groups. Charlotte Alexandra filled a bun case with spoons of water. Lily H and Hemish counted. Luca filled a cup. There were 32 spoons of water in the cup. Kain filled a bun case too. Miss Joyce loved our lesson, she chatted to the children about which container held the most water. This is a great thing to do on a hot day. Why don’t you fill some containers at home.
