Year 2 Cancer Focus Genevieve Visit
Primary 2 had a visit from Genevieve the goat. She came to tell the children how to stay fit and healthy. Hannah her assistant told us about eating at least 5 pieces of fruit a day and drink plenty of water and milk. Vegetable are especially important in our diet, lots of green vegetables like broccoli and carrots all help are muscles to be strong and healthy. We need milk to provide calcium for our bones and teeth. We had great fun showing our thumbs up for good foods and thumbs down for unhealthy foods. Then the excitement really began when we called out Genevieve’s name. In she came and shook our hands and nodded when she realised we were very health conscious children.
We listened to the story about the Farmyard Olympics. The goats won the most prizes as their coach had trained them very well and encouraged them to have a healthy diet and exercise regime. We hope Genevieve will come back and visit us soon.
