Our Special Visitor!
We were learning all about People Who Help Us and we talked about lots of people who help us in our family, our school and our community. We loved reading fire- fighter stories and looking at all the pictures in the books of all the equipment the fire- fighters have to use…..they are very brave! We did lots of colourful paintings of fire trucks and we even had a fire station in our classroom!
Then we had a big surprise when Sarah in our class told us her daddy was a real fire-fighter and he wanted to come and talk to all the children in school! He came to our classroom and we saw him in his uniform, he even let some of us try on his safety helmet and his trousers and boots!
We were so excited and Mrs McNamee took lots of photos of us! We think Sarah’s dad is “Our Real Superhero”!
