This month we have been creating a Christmas Classroom at playtime. We are dressing up in the Christmas Corner, singing Jingle Bells and playing our instruments. We have even been writing letters to Santa and posting them in our class post-box.
We have been pretending to be Santa’s elves and wrapping presents wearing our elf hats! We have built Santa’s sleigh to fly in and we even have been weighing Christmas presents to see which is the heaviest.
We have been using chalk to draw Christmas pictures on black card, putting spots on our winter penguins with playdough and even playing with a winter wonderland!
We have had great fun during play smiling and learning. A big thank you to the parents who sent in wrapping paper, cards, lights etc. to make our December play so much fun.
